Cycling Australia Media Release
Cycling Australia is excited to announce the 2019 Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool will feature live streaming for the men’s NRS event.
The 2019 Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool is the opening event in the Cycling Australia National Road Series (NRS) Classics series.
To be held on Saturday 16 February, the 103rd edition of the race will begin in Avalon for the first time since the race’s inception in 1895.
The 262-kilometre race includes 1,734 metres of climbing and is set to take in some of South Western Victoria’s greatest landmarks and towns including the Great Ocean Road.
Streamed via the National Road Series Facebook and via Kayo and FOX SPORTS, the coverage will begin with the official pre-race show from 7.10am and feature rider interviews and the race start in Avalon.
The live stream will then pick up for the final kilometres of the race and capture the exciting run to the finish into Warrnambool.
The post-race-show will feature race highlights, race wrap-up, rider interviews and the official presentations, with an extensive highlights package loaded to the NRS channels later in the day.
The Cycling Australia (CA) 2019 National Road Series (NRS) will see a new Classics series take place between February and May kicking off with the Melbourne to Warrnambool. Following the Classics, the new Tour of the Tropics will kick off the traditional Tours season in August in Cairns.
